Run, Run
Timo and the pups had a big play this evening - it was their first big play without Zeus - and even Hunter joined in this time! He usually just watched and protected Kaylee when Zeus was here - so it was good to see him acting like a silly pup again. :D

Another Day, Another Doctor
So today was yet another day of bad news from yet another doctor. I'm just going to quit going to the doctor. That's all there is to it. If I don't go, they can't tell me, and I won't know, and I'll be none the wiser for it. Or something like that. =)
I'm *29* freaking years old and I have a cataract forming in my right eye. That's the eye that has been bothering me all this time - and it's on the same side as the hand and foot problems. So I guess it's good to know that it's not related to what's going on there. But still?! A freaking cataract!? At my age?!!? Good grief. I so totally needed yet another thing to worry about...

Rio Samba
(Taken with my iPhone today when Timo and I took a little walk in the 90 degree heat.)
(Naughty K8, you're not supposed to be out in the heat.)
(But there was a wonderful breeze and I can't stand being cooped up!)
The strange things that happen to me, # 152: My thumb has stopped hurting.
It dawned on me on the way to work Tuesday morning. Hey, wait?! My thumb doesn't hurt. And it hasn't hurt since.

At 3:00 this morning, I woke up. Wide awake. And you know what!? My thumb wasn't even numb. I couldn't get back to sleep I was so freaking excited.
It did end up being slightly numb today, but not at all like it was. And at certain times during the day, it didn't seem numb at all.
Hot d*mn!
It had gotten to the point that it hurt so bad all day long that I could hardly stand it. Now I can't quite get over being out of pain. Woo-hoo!
Yeah, I know. A sore thumb (or a no-more-sore thumb) is the least of my worries. But I have to be happy about something, don't I?! =)

Ok
While I might be loving this whole new Blogger thing, I do NOT love that if you hit backspace too many times too quickly it just deletes everything I've written. That's so not appreciated.
I still need to find the money to pay for my Squarespace account so I can figure out how to archive it. Because I really don't want to lose all my crazy, sarcastic, funny, and otherwise boring memories.
And have you seen that picture of Barbie I posted?! WoW. I don't know what's gotten into me, but I just don't have any inhibitions about what I say or what pictures I post here. Naughty K8. As my aunt in New York said this summer, I've gotten mouthy. Well. I've always been mouthy. I just don't keep it inside anymore. Perhaps it's yet another symptom I should discuss with the neurologist the next time I go?! Hooray for brain lesions . . . :o

That's a Big IF
I found this awesome candy at Wally World the other day. Dark chocolate covered pomegranate pieces. Or so I thought. I had to have it - it sounded like the perfect combination. Sweet little chocolate balls with a tart bite?! You bet! And I'll admit these are the best balls EVER. But guess what!? Not only do they make me itch, but they also don't really have pomegranate pieces underneath the chocolate. Imagine that. I was munching away, wondering what could possibly be making me itch, when I decided to read the ingredients. Pomegranate juice, ok. Along with apple juice, cranberry juice, pineapple juice, and elderberry juice. What!??! Not exactly bladder friendly for those of us with interstitial cystitis. How nice. And I'm sure it's the elderberries making me itch because I can remember feeling exactly the same way a couple of years ago when Timothy and I were eating elderberries out of my dad's yard. *sigh* Why can't the perfect combination really be perfect?! Must've been invented by a man . . . :D

Zeusy-Goosey
We finally found Zeus a new home. We've had him for a good 3 1/2 months, so of course I'm rather attached to him. I hope he'll do well with his new family and I hope his new family will take good care of him. I'll miss the silly pup.
And, let me add, now that we've found a home for the barker, it's ON with the neighbor who's STILL shooting off fireworks on the 30th of August. It's a daily d*mn thing. And it has been since June. (Wait. This particular nut actually didn't start setting off the fireworks until AFTER July 4th...duh...)
My dogs are scared of fireworks. Everyone around us knows my dogs are scared of fireworks. And my dogs have lived here longer than those weirdos. I am NOT tolerating the fireworks any more. It's time for the "my fireworks beat your fireworks - watch out in the middle of the night because I *will* win" game. :D
D*amn, I'm evil. No wonder I probably have MS...Karma's a b*tch and she'll get ya every time. :o

I Have Heart Burn
Your son and I (me mostly, Of course) helped Keith tie down the fence...after the dog you brought home attacked pirate in front of Cindy, scared the shit out of her and Keith, and caused Keith to catch him and dag him home and yell at Timo. AND timo and I rinsed out and filled up the million pound water bowl, after I asked you to be sure to take care of it. Grr...

Somebody's Snoring
And I think it's Zeus. Crazy dog! Speaking of snoring, I don't. But the neurologist asked me last week if I do snore, am tired when I wake up, no energy, etc. Do you know what made her ask me that?
Apparently I have a scalloped tongue. She said that people with scalloped tongues are...something like high risk, I don't really remember because I've blocked the whole visit...for obstructive sleep apnea. And she knew that by the shape of my tongue. How weird is that?!
No one has ever asked me about sleep apnea or snoring before and no one has ever said anything about the shape of my tongue being indicative of anything. How strange!!
I've never had any signs of sleep apnea; never been tested for it and I don't plan on being tested for it; only snore when my sinuses are clogged and allergies are driving me insane. (Oh, wait. That's ALL the freaking time!! Hmm...)
So let's just see ... go to the neurologist with one thing and come out with 4 or 5 things. How nice is that?! Makes me really look forward to going back to see her again ... *sigh*
(I will go back to see her. I really liked her. And I love her for not saying any of these wacky things are caused by weight. Score one for her! Because that's my family doctor's ONLY freaking answer for EVERYTHING.)

Really?!
The woman rode her bike to and through the drive-thru at McDonald's...and she ordered a hot fudge sundae. How insane is that?!!?

More Redscale
I finally got my prints in the mail and I must say THEY ARE AWESOME. Even better in person. (I haven't tried scanning them yet, though.) I really, really, really like this redscale film. Can't wait to get out and try it again. Which ought to be about the time hell freezes over since it's going to be miserably hot again this weekend...*sigh*

Hot-N-Cold
I've got this lovely little cold, which Timothy so kindly passed on to me. He picked it up in the first few days of school last week. Kids are germy. And school sucks! :D Anyway, I'm freezing cold one minute; burning up the next. It's kinda crazy. But not in a good way.
And speaking of hot, when I went to the neurologist the other day, one of the things she told me was that I need to stay out of the heat; to stay cool. Now how the hell am I supposed to do that when it's the DOG DAYS OF SUMMER/August in Indiana?! We've had a hotter than usual summer to begin with - and I've been out in the heat, walking with Timothy, just about every day. Nice. And now that I know I'm not supposed to be out there, it's killing me to be inside. Even nicer.
So I went out and took some pictures of the few remaining flowers in the front yard just now. I love that late evening sunlight; it was a spirit-lifter for a minute. Even though I was burning up! (More from the cold than the actual heat, I'm sure.) And now, I think I'll go to bed. At 8:15! I guess one good thing about a cold is that it's a sure-fire insomnia killer. Woo-hoo! :o)

At The Car Wash
(Sent from my iPhone...pretty nifty!)
Today hasn't exactly been a good day. I did only work half a day. Which is pretty awesome for a Monday. But I also spent a good two and a half hours at the hospital. Which is pretty darn depressing. I even told the doctor I was never setting foot in that building again. And Tim and I both told the nurses that it stunk like piss in the waiting area. Eww. It was such a hell hole. And there were all sorts of creepy people around. At least the doctor was fantastic - that balances it all out. I have a lot that I should probably write down so I don't forget it, but it just makes me sad thinking about it. So I'll just leave it at that. Ugh.

It's Almost Friday
I don't have the money to renew my Squarespace account, so I'm thinking of jumping ship and moving to a free site. I've been with Squarespace since the very beginning, and I do get a really good discount, but...is it really worth paying for something that I can get for free? Seems kind of crazy to me. Of course I am crazy, so...Blogger should feel lucky to have me. =)
Hunter went for a haircut today. I took him somewhere new this time and the gal did a FANTASTIC job with him. He doesn't look like a sheared sheep with a lion's mane. He looks like a handsome dog! Yay! He did a great job, too, and wasn't scared - or so the report goes. But I did lace meatballs with benadryl before I took him... :D
I thought I could export my posts from Squarespace and add them here, but the file I got out of my Squarespace account wasn't recognized by Blogger. So I guess I'm starting from scratch. Which isn't so bad considering I shut off one link and start up a new one all the time on Squarespace anyway. [ All the stuff is still there even though no one else can see it, so I've got all those funny stories and crazy antics and wacky photos saved for a good laugh years down the road. I hope don't lose all of that by not renewing...bummer. :-( ]
I've got to work on the colors here, though. I've tried and just can't quite get a combination that I like. But once I turn everything pink-n-orange, we'll be all set! :o)
